It usually consist of a combination of tough fabric and hard fibers, hooks, velcro, lacing, or other strong fasteners that hold the trainer tightly in place.

The waist trainer gives temporal reduction in waist size and a person will typically see immediate results. However, as soon as they take it off, their waist will no longer look smaller. This is because the waist trainer does not reduce body fat, it can make abdominal fat more compact.

As much as they are beneficial, they are also harmful when they are over used.
