Stop using these harmful products on your face.

“Tola, I have another break out around my jawline, it’s terrible, it looks like pus. Could it be the last foundation I bought from you?”

“Tola, I have this burning sensation on my lips followed by tiny bumps, it’s awful I don’t know what to do, I hope it’s not the lipstick I bought from you, could it have been fake Tola I trust you not to sell fake please tell me the truth so I know how to deal with my boyfriend if it’s not the lipstick”

These are the complaints Tola gets every single day until her conscience starts hunting her soul.

“The make up I sold made people sick even though I made some money, the health of my buyers was important to me so I just had to stop”.

Tola once sold fake cosmetics products from China and this is what she had to say.

“As a makeup artist it was not hard to sell these makeup from China and soon I took the business online and started with Blackberry messenger before moving to Instagram then I had to stop”.

I would not make heaven if I continued to risk the health of my customers. In fact, I tried to talk to others involved to see the dangers in what they are selling but of course, only a few people listened. Many are in it for the money and do not care as long as the money keeps rolling in.

I discovered the products I sold were fake when a friend of mine who just returned to the country from the Uk wanted to buy a Mac lipstick and she was shocked at the price. “Tola this can not be real how can you be selling a Mac lipstick for #2000 did you steal it”. She showed me from the official website how much one lipstick retails for and I was amazed. She then inquired from me where I get my products from? I explained I got them from a wholesaler who buys them outside the country.

She urged me to do further research because she believed the products were fake. Before then some customers would complain to me about how the products irritated their skin but I found a way to convince them it was just them or other things they used. But after this discovery, I decided to pay more attention.

Authentic beauty products for you

I called the wholesaler and demanded to know where he sourced his products from. After much cajoling, he admitted they were from China.

From further research, I found out that dupes of popular U.S brands are made in China and sold ridiculously cheap to most African countries. For example, LA girl concealer is sold  8$ on the website but retails for as low as #500 in Nigeria. This is enough pointers that it is fake.

Mashable reports that “Mercury, lead, arsenic, cyanide and even human urine and rat droppings are often found in counterfeit cosmetics made in China. The level of toxins in some of these products have led to severe allergic reactions including skin rashes and burns, disfigurement and long-term health problems such as high blood pressure and infertility.

Some sellers even go as far as slapping high prices on dupes (imitation products ) from China to trick people about the originality.

Most of the cheap matte products that guarantee 24 hours lasting effect contain lead— a chemical that research has proven to be highly carcinogenic. That is they cause cancer.

Have you been patronizing unverified vendors selling dupes? Do you get prolonged irritation, breakouts, and allergies after using certain cosmetics products?

We use cosmetics products to enhance our beauty not damage it. Buying from roadside vendors or some shops that stock imitation products could be the reason why you’re yet to reach your skin goal.

We recommend that you buy from only trusted and verified vendors or at least vendors who will tell you exactly what you’re paying for.

Most people in my area don’t know that fast growth shampoos (of course with no sulfates, no parabens or DEA) are even a thing. Individuals now may experience longer hair and achieve more alternatives. Definitely worth reading.

If you’re addressing alopecia, damaged hair, avoiding scalp disorders, fast hair growth, hair and scalp health more often than not, similar ideas apply.

Generally, you will want to stay away from hair products and treatments that contain chemicals like parabens, DEA and sulfates.

What is beneficial for your hair is good for your skin also.

For obvious reasons your content here is so useful for multiple reasons. It stays away from the usual traps and mistakes so many fall into: buying defective alternatives. Keep it up!
